I Am Thankful And Grateful For All The Good In My Life, For All Good I Have Been Given And All The Good That Is Coming To Me!
We are to be grateful everyday! Not “Just” today!
And we need to be grateful for everything that touches us, and not just as a “Show”!

Hi Folks,
With this installment and the next 4 that follow, we will be discussing the 5 Reiki Precepts known to everyone that practices Reiki.
The 5 Reiki Precepts
The five Reiki precepts have been handed down from Reiki Master to student since the start of Reiki.
Just For Today, I Will Not Worry.
Just For Today, I Will Not Anger.
Just For Today, I Will Earn My Living Honestly.
Just For Today, I Will Honor My Parents, Elders, and Teachers.
Just For Today, I Will Show Gratitude For Everything.
To me it almost sounds like they could have come from a 12 step program, but I have to say that there is wisdom in these words. Taken all together and lived every day can lead one to live a beautiful life.
What you read above was the original version I was taught.
For my own self I have changed the wording slightly to eliminate the negative.
Every time we say “I will not”, we are fighting the “will” and thus it is more difficult to accomplish whatever it is we wanted to accomplish!

Here, I am not willing myself to do anything, I am declaring that I am worry free! There is no fear of worry, there is nothing negative in the statement.
The word “Just” adds limits and if we are reminding ourselves of these precepts all the time, the “Just” just doesn’t fit!

Is Reiki Safe? Part 3
Some think
that they are healers when they become Reiki
Masters.
Please keep in mind, it is God's Energy flowing through you, you are just a conduit!
Keep yourself humble.
You are only laying on your hands and letting God do the work!
Your hands are empty and your fingers closed.
God is the surgeon and a most loving and kind one. When you channel God's Loving Reiki Energy through you, it can do no harm, it can only serve the greatest good!

Is Reiki Safe? Part 2
Traditionally the Reiki
Master will start a session by
placing the hands on the crown of the head of the
person they are working with.
I do this and close my eyes, check to see if I can feel anything or see anything.
Sometimes you will get what could be called visions. It could be of an imaginary place or scene, it could be of something that the person under your hands has experienced. Sometimes the image is vague other times very vivid.
You can tell the person you are working on what you see or you may choose to keep it to yourself.
If it is a beautiful scene I share it, if not I patiently wait for the vision to fade.
There will be times when the person you are working on will become overwhelmed with emotion as the Reiki Energy does its thing!
They may start sobbing or fell giddy or anything in between, by all means let them know that they can express whatever they are feeling!
I tend to keep my hands in that position until my field of vision is filled with the corresponding color of the chakra I am resting my hands on.
You don't need to concern yourself with where the energy is flowing to, just let it flow!
If you are working on the throat and the energy is needed in the knees, it will go there first and foremost!
Reiki helps to balance the body, to heal the body.

That is a question that gets asked a lot.
Yes, Reiki is safe!
Looking at it in its most basic form, Reiki is merely resting your hands upon another person,
It is noninvasive.
It is considered by some to be massage but you do not move your hands, you rest them on different parts of the body and let God's Energy flow through you.
It is that Energy that massages the person you are resting your hands on not your hands.
When a Reiki Master uses Reiki on another, the energy flows only when it needs to and only where it needs to!
Reiki is healing Energy coming from the Divine Source, from God.
It can do no harm.
You don't even have to believe in Reiki for Reiki to work!

Reiki and Electronics!

Does Reiki
work on Electronics?
In my experience, YES!
Shortly after getting attuned to Reiki, I was asked to cat sit for a friend of mine.
It was a nice hi-rise apartment in a not so nice section of town.
She had recently moved in so the unit was sparsely decorated, but she did have a big TV. It was during hurricane season and a big one was about to hit Florida, I was hoping to be able to catch the news!
She had warned me that the television remote didn't work and it was one of those sets that you have to use the remote to turn it on.
Well, I arrived at her place and after feeding the cat and playing with her for a while, I sat back on the couch and grabbed the remote.
Click.
Nothing happened.
Click. Click. Click.
"Oh well, no TV for me", I thought to myself.
I put down the remote.
I put on a little peaceful music and started thinking about Reiki.
The mere thought was making the energy come alive!
I decided to try Reiki on the remote control.
I figured that it couldn't possible make things worse.
I held the remote in my hands with my fingers closed. One hand on the bottom and the other hand mimicking the position of the first got laid upon the top of the remote.
I closed my eyes and held the device.
Within a few minutes I had fallen asleep!
When I awoke I saw that I was still holding the remote control for the television.
I remembered the Reiki I had been doing and pointed it at the television.
Click!
On came the TV!
Click!
It went off!
Click, back on!
I was amazed!
As far as I know, til this day that remote control is still working!
When my friend got back from her trip, she was shocked, she thought that I had gone out and bought a new remote for her and insisted on paying me for it!
I told her I had used Reiki on it and she immediately understood... and then wondered why she didn't use the Reiki on it herself as she was a practitioner herself
This was just one little example that showed me how powerful and unlimited Reiki energy can be.
Becoming attuned to Reiki Energy is attainable by anyone and can be a life changing experience.
Weekend Seminars are nice, but there is a great home study course available on line that I highly recommend!
It is called the Essence Of Reiki!
The weekend seminars are over after the weekend but this course stays with you long after!

A Simple Reiki Exercise
A Simple Exercise.
Sit with your feet flat on the floor.
Rest your hands on your thighs.
Close your eyes.
Now focus on your finger tips, think about them, feel them and see them in your mind's eye.
Focus on all of them until you feel a slight tingle.
Once you feel the tingling in your finger tips, focus your attention on each one individually.
First the left thumb, then the left index finger and so on.
As you do this you will feel the energy increase in your fingers, they may feel warm.
That is the feeling of the Reiki Essence flowing through you as I understand it!
Once you have all your fingers buzzing with electricity, slowly, raise your hands, palms facing each other, and slowly move them towards each other.
You will feel them touch each other before they touch!
As soon as you “feel” the presence of the other hand, open your eyes, you may be surprised at how far apart they really were!
That is just the beginning! When you become a Reiki Master, that energy flows with the flick of a switch, by merely saying "Reiki On!"

The Placebo Effect and Reiki
Think of
the sugar pill, the placebo is given to the
patient, believing the doctor, that it will cure
him and more often than not it does.
It is the belief that the patient has in the magic pill that cures him.
Put that believe in the gifts that God has given you and you will see every aspect of your life improve and strengthen!
Reiki Energy is the Power of God flowing through man's hands! Let God's work work through you.
You can learn Reiki on your own or you can learn it from skilled Reiki Masters, but I suspect that if you do not give thanks and praise to God for the Healing Energy flowing through you, you are inhibiting how powerful a Healer you can be!
You can go it alone, but remember, a good teacher can help keep you focused and provide many short cuts.
