Sorry I haven't been around to write on my blog.
I have been studying the course "The Practical Genius" over at the Science Of Getting Rich Network.
It all started when I happened upon a free copy of The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. A great little book written about 100 years ago. As I read through it the first time, I realized where the origins of The Secret came from!
It was this little book!!!
Here is the link to go download it free for yourself. It has everything The Secret had and more! It is a practical guide to becoming Rich and living in Gratitude.
Rebecca Fine is the website owner and her site is amazing, there is a very active forum for discussing ideas and learning from others. She provides a wealth of information and also is active in the forums as well! Yes, joining the site is free also and I have not gotten any spam as a result.

Wishes

Remember You can wish for anything and you will get it!
The most important thing to realize is that you have to be specific about your desires, right down to the last detail!
Take out a pad of paper and right down your wish.
Then re write it with more detail
Rewrite it again and again until all the detail is there, until you can feel it in your being as already being!
And that wish is on its way to you!

My motorcycle friend returns...

This story just came in from you motorcycling friend, I thought you might enjoy it...
"Dear Mary,
It's been a long time since I have had the urge to tell you one of my tales, but this one rocked me so hard I just had to let you know about it!
Last winter my boots finally bit the dust!
Both soles had holes in them and from the constant leakage they were starting to rot. I finally tossed them before moving south. Being a lazy shopper, that left me with only my converse all-stars.
Well, I've been riding the bike pretty regularly lately and rubbing your feet on the pavement is not a happy thing for this kind of sneaker. I realized I needed a real pair of shoes!
As I was riding back home I was thinking about a black pair with nice heavy soles that would take a while to wear out. I figured I would get them before the end of the week. Well, I figured wrong! God delivered them to me that very evening!!!
No lie!
Here is what happened, it was about 10PM and although the dumpster is almost a quarter mile away, I decided to take out the trash before going to bed.
Sitting in front of the dumpster was a BRAND NEW PAIR OF SHOES!
Just like, and I mean just like the ones I imagined!
I laughed, I picked them up, checked the size and sure enough they were a perfect fit!
I proudly walked back to my place with the new shoes. Yes, they were near a dumpster, but they were brand spanking new, no scuffs, no dirt, no wear, nothing!
I don't care what other people say, when you think right the good Lord gives you all you need! The Secret and Bob Proctor both helped me get my thinking straight. and of course, you helped too Mary! Thanks Love!
While walking back I was thinking about the abundance of this world of the universe and thanked God for all the things he brings into my life.
Just then I looked down and in the pitch black of night, I saw a coin sparkle, I picked it up knowing it was for me, put it in my pocket and went home to bed, so very thankful for a truly abundant day!"

I was at the market the other morning, picking up some milk and the young lady that took my money gave me back my change... minus 2 cents!
I slowly put the rest of my change away thinking she had to unwrap a roll of pennies or some such thing.
She closed the cash register.
As I walked away I thought of Joe Vitale, one of the masters of The Secret, and his belief that whatever he spends gets returned a hundredfold.
I told myself, it was only 2 cents and it didn't matter as it would be returned to me a thousand fold!
I went about my day and forgot all about the 2 cents.
Later that same day, while trying to walk on clear pavement, most of it was covered with ice and snow, there on the ground was a 20 dollar bill!
I laughed, I smiled and I gave thanks as I remembered the 2 cents from the morning!
When you believe, anything is possible!

The Amazing Wrench!

Your wish IS my command!
If you’ve been following my writings, you have gathered by now that I’m a firm believer in miracles and of God granting wishes.
The following example is from a friend of mine whom I love and trust dearly, he too lives a life of gratitude.
Here is the story as he relates it:
“I was working on my motorcycle one afternoon, trying to get the rear wheel adjusted. I was parked in the driveway and sitting on the ground.
I loved this bike! I had built it up from a rust heap to a trophy winning vintage Harley-Davidson!
I was struggling with a 9/16th wrench on one side and an adjustable wrench on the other. The going wasn’t easy, working over the fender and between the spokes.
I remember saying out loud that I wished that I had another 9/16th wrench.
I finally decided to call it quits for the day without finishing what I had wanted to.
I packed up my tool kit, and got ready to move the van into the street. I had the door open with music playing while I worked on the bike, but my house mate would be back soon and they liked to park in the driveway, so the van had to be moved.
I got in and drove down the skinny driveway and out to the curb. As I put the vehicle into “park”, I looked in the rearview mirror and saw something metal in the street with the sun glinting off of it, almost blinding me. I locked up the van and went to check it out.
It was a wrench! Not just any wrench, but a 9/16th wrench!
At first I thought that it was mine and that I must have left it on the bumper or something and it fell off when I parked the van.
Something told me that it wasn’t my wrench.
I opened my toolkit, and gasped, “You gotta be kidding me!”, my wrench was there!
I now had 2 9/16th wrenches and could easily accomplish the job on the bike!
I settled back down on the ground, finished up the task I didn’t think I would be able to get done. Looked at the twin wrenches and laughed as I put them into the toolkit together.
I looked over to the street where the wrench had appeared. No one had driven by, there was no sound of a wrench being dropped, it just appeared! I sat there staring and just marveled at how my wish came true!
A tool that I needed appeared out of nowhere! I had no duplicates of any tools. I guess God dropped it on the street so that there was no danger of Him scratching my bike!”
I love that story!
Where the wrench came from doesn’t matter, what matters is that he made a wish and it was granted!

Winter Wishes Manifesting

One cold winter’s morning, I was heading off to work. It was still semi dark out and being a Monday, the parking lot across the street had been empty since Friday.
I put on my hat and coat and said out loud, “Man, I wish I had a pair of gloves!”.
Mine had worn out and I hadn’t found time to replace them.
Well, I bundled up and headed to the car which was parked on the street on the opposite side of the empty parking lot. As I crossed through the parking lot, right in the middle of the empty space was a brand new pair of insulated leather gloves!
I squealed with delight as I picked them up!
I looked around, there was no one about. There was fresh snow on the ground but no footprints or tire tracks. I looked up into the heavens and gave thanks!
That was about six years ago and to this day I still have those gloves, they still look new and most importantly, they keep my hands warm and remind me of the abundant planet God has given us!
I have always believed in the power of prayer and wishing and when I am struggling, I like to think of examples like these that happen in my life and the stories I have heard from others on their wishes coming true!
Those are a couple of my “Secret Shifters”, see if you can think of times in your life where things just “appeared out of nowhere” and know that that was God answering your prayer! That was the Law of Attraction in action!

Believe and Manifest!
In the movie The Secret, they talk of the Genie that grants wishes, about intention, and among other things about manifesting.
They also talk of Secret Shifters, little triggers that you can use to bring you back into alignment with the law of attraction.
Just as I give thanks for all the coins I find on the street, I like to remember the times that stick out in my mind where I was in perfect alignment and things, real things seemingly appeared out of nowhere!
One day on my way to the market, I was listening to the audio book version of The Secret. I had lost my lighter and intended to get a new one while I was out. I was listening to the chapter where Joe Vitale talks about intention.
I had forgotten all about buying a new lighter and as I was walking down the street with my groceries, I remembered the lighter, after a few more steps, there on the ground in front of me was a brand new lighter just like the one I had lost!
As I bent over to pick it up, I couldn’t contain myself from bursting out with laughter and giving thanks for this gift!

Pennies From Heaven!
Abundance comes in many forms, not just monetary, but I have a little game that I play that I would like to share with you concerning the monetary.
Whenever I see a coin on the ground, I ALWAYS stop and pick it up, and as I do, I thank God for giving me the coin.
As I slip it into my pocket, I thank the Universe for being such an abundant place and picture more and more money flowing to me with the same ease as picking up the coin on the sidewalk!
I am always grateful when I find coins on the street and consider it a reminder that money is always flowing to me!
I know that that coin, be it a penny, nickel or quarter was meant for me and if I was to pass it by, I would be denying God from giving me the gifts he wishes to bestow upon me!
I now have a huge jar full of coins that I found on the street and whenever I add another, which is almost everyday, I am reminded of how abundant this world is.
Next time you spy a coin on the ground, know that it was meant for you!
Pick it up and give thanks that more abundance has just been added to your life and know that more is constantly coming in all areas of your life! Abundance in health, abundance in relationships, abundance your bank account!
Welcome abundance into all aspects your life!

Attracting Abundance!
The world is full of abundance! If you were to listen to the news all the time, you wouldn’t think so, but it is true.
Just as whatever we think about the most is what we attract into our lives the most.
Recently, a friend of mine was concerned about the economy, two of her clients had lost their jobs and her bookkeeper informed her of a meager profit for the month.
We got together and discussed a new advertising strategy for her and by the time we were finished she was all excited about the future possibilities.
We set up a time to meet the following Friday.
Two days later, I got an email from her wanting to change the meeting to Monday instead as the biggest newspaper in the state wanted to run an article on her latest project!
She had gotten excited about bringing in more to her business and the Universe responded by giving to her free advertising in the form of a feature story in a major publication!
That IS the Law of Attraction! That is the truth of abundance!
Once she thought about attracting more and got excited about it, she got more!
The effort on her part was simple and something we use all the time, our thoughts and out emotions.
Through our conversation she started thinking about how to present her company. By the time we finished, she had a clear vision which she could get excited about. Two days later, an unexpected blessing came to her from the Universe in the form of the feature story!
Thought + Emotion = Attraction!
Start today! Think about what you really want, get clear on it and get excited! God will do the rest!

Living In Gratitude

When you can stop and say,
“I really do love my coffee pot! It brews me a wonderful cup of coffee and I enjoy every sip! If it wasn’t for that coffee pot I may not have such a great cup of coffee!”,
and truly feel the love and appreciation for the coffee pot, the coffee beverage and even the cup you are holding, to feel the joy that those things bring into your life, that my dear friends, that is feeling gratitude!

More On Gratitude

Gratitude comes from within, it is an appreciation of all that is good and welcome in our lives. Gratitude is expressed when we openly give thanks for those things.
When someone does something for us we are trained to say, “Thank you”, but how often do we really feel the thank you that we are giving?
Think back to a time when you were just so overwhelmed with something someone had done for you and you just had to blurt out a thank you.
That feeling of thanks, of gratitude, could not be contained.
If you were to stop and feel the thank you each time you gave it, you would be living in gratitude.
If you were to stop and feel how much you love and enjoy any little thing in your life, you would be living in gratitude.
Some people think that gratitude has to go deeper than giving thanks for the “things” in our lives and be more spiritual.
I say that every little thing in your life that gives you even the slightest bit of joy, every little thing that makes your day a little easier is worthy of true gratitude.
True gratitude is spiritual and fills the heart with warmth and joy!

Personally, I think that many people don’t really understand what gratitude really is.
How many times have we heard things like “He’s not grateful for the money I gave him!” or “She’s not grateful for this or that that I have done for them!”?
First of all, we have no way of knowing the gratitude that the receiver feels in these situations, but I can tell you this much, if you are making statements like the ones above, you are not giving freely or with an open heart!
Some people have a hard time expressing gratitude outwardly.
Sometimes all you will receive in return is a simple thank you when inside the recipient of your good deed is welling up and ready to burst into tears of gratitude.
We are trained to hold our emotions in, including the ones of gratitude!
When you give a gift, be thankful that you can!
When you give of yourself don’t look for anything in return.

Who Is Bob Proctor?

Seeing that I mention him a lot, I thought I would give a little background on this amazing man!
Bob Proctor is an author, lecturer, counselor, business consultant, entrepreneur, and teacher preaching the gospel of positive thinking, self-motivation and maximizing human potential. In that endeavor, he follows in the footsteps of such motivational giants as Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Wallace D. Wattles
His extraordinary teaching ability has won Proctor acclaim around the globe and has carried the Canadian-born motivator to the far reaches of the earth. He is as well known in Australia and Malaysia as he is in Alberta and Mississippi.
Born in a little town in northern Ontario, Canada with the low self-esteem that often befalls a family's middle child, he performed poorly in school, dropped out and did a hitch in the navy. Afterward he drifted from one dead-end job to another until a friend introduced Bob to the concept of self-development through Napoleon Hill's classic Think and Grow Rich.
With the spark generated by Hill's words, Proctor found the initiative to start an office cleaning business which he grew to international scope in his first year of operation. From that experience - after seeing what he had been able to accomplish with just a rudimentary knowledge of personal motivation and goal-setting - he hungered for more information.
His quest took him to the Nightingale-Conant organization to study under his mentor, Earl Nightingale. Once on board, he rose swiftly through the ranks. Eventually, while the Nightingale-Conant organization assumed the forefront in wide-scale distribution of personal development programs, Bob felt the need to take his ideas and methods directly to the individual, to the one-on-one level which had proved so successful for himself.
In the mid 1970's, Proctor established his own seminar company and secured a contract to work with a few hundred agents of Prudential Life Insurance Co. of America in Chicago. During his first seminar Bob made the suggestion that any agent present could write $5 million in business that year if the agent made a decision to do so.
The fact that the seminar took place in July with the year half over and that no agent in that region had ever written so much business in the 100-year history of the company made Bob's suggestion appear to be outrageous. However, when the performance level of the entire division increased substantially with more than one agent actually accomplishing the deed, Bob's reputation as a motivator was established.
Over the ensuing years, Proctor has shared his special message and expertise with hundreds of business entities worldwide and, through a program of live seminars, with thousands of people of all ages in all walks of life.

I first heard about the Law Of Attraction from Joe Vitale, the author of The Attractor Factor.
Later I got the audio book and the movie called "The Secret" which also covered the Law of Attraction.
The movie and the audiobook both starred Mr. Vitale and Mr. Proctor and many other workers of the Law.
I had already been impressed with Joe Vitale's teachings and put them to work in my life as I came across them. He is a great philosopher and an inspiring writer. One of the wonderful things about his writing is that he shares his own experiences with the reader. There is not much of the "I heard from a friend of a friend that this works..." Instead he keeps you grounded in his own life story as he gives you lessons on creating a successful and abundant life!
Bob Proctor, to me is the Star of the Secret! With his, wit, charm, and wisdom, I have learned a great many things about the Law Of Attraction in a way that is fun and easy to understand!
While learning about The Secret, memories came back to me on how the Law had actually worked many times in my life.
The Law Of Attraction is not just some new aged, positive thinking kind of thing. The Law of Attraction is something that we all do everyday, without thinking! It is how our lives are constructed. It is the universe, it is God listening to our prayers!

Living In Gratitude

It could be said that learning the Secret to the Law Of Attraction is really learning how to pray.
Or rather, relearning how to pray.
God has given us a world full of abundance!
It is ours, it is our birthright as children of God to live happy, healthy, wealthy lives full of abundance!
It is mentioned in the teachings of Jesus when he speaks of the sparrow that doesn't worry where his next meal is coming from, the sparrow has faith, the sparrow knows it will be there when he needs it!
The first step, as far as I see it is to practice Gratitude, real gratitude, everyday, every waking moment!
When I was a child I was taught to kneel at the side of the bed and give thanks to God for all the good in my life. That is practicing Gratitude and there is much to be grateful for in all of our lives!
When you appreciate and give thanks for the good things in your life, by the very law of attraction, you will be bringing more good things into your life.
Yes, it is that simple and it can be started right now!
Are you grateful that you have eyes to read this, that you have a computer to read it on, that you learned how to read in the first place?
Of course you are!
But how often do you take the time to give thanks?
The more you practice gratitude, the deeper it gets, the more spiritual it becomes and the more your spirit gets nourished!
Start today!

What is the Secret?
The Secret IS the Law Of Attraction!
But the real secret is in how to apply the Law into your daily life.
It all starts with Gratitude...
In these days when everyone is screaming that the sky is falling, now is the best time to start living a Life Of Gratitude!
Be thankful for what you have now!
Don't dwell on the past, don't worry about the future.
In The Secret, Bob Proctor advises us to start every day with a list of things we are grateful for, he suggests that we start each sentence with " I am so happy and grateful now that...." and you finish the sentence with what you are grateful for.
In my own case, every morning I go out on the roof deck and gaze down at the city or up into the sky and mentally go over those things that I am thankful for. Some days it is the beautiful view, other days I am thankful to be alive. Whatever comes to me at the moment is where I start.
You will find that if you try this exercise every morning, every day will be a bit brighter!
And this is only the beginning of The Secret!
